Langley get a hammering by unstoppable Ones

A cocky and over confident Langley team were given a cricket lesson on Saturday as they rocked up at Peover Lane expecting to bully the Ones into defeat. Bad mistake! After Chelford calmly rattled up 218-9 with the bat, their rampant bowling attack then humiliated the visitors by bowling them out for a paltry 48 to win by 170 runs!!!  For a full match report & scorecard click here.

Twenty20 challenge night & BBQ

Next Tuesday (3rd Aug), the Chairmans XI will take on the Challengers XI in a T20 match at Peover Lane starting at around 6.00pm. It should be a cracker, and already debate has begun on who will win the bragging rights. John Kilroe will skipper his side, with Andy Duffy leading the Challengers. A Club BBQ will then follow. It promises to be a fun evening. All welcome.

Quack, Quack, Quack!

The first Chelford CC Duck Race takes place on Sunday 29th August and will be followed by a Club BBQ afterwards. 1250 yellow plastic ducks will be hurled into a local stream, and the first three past the post will net their sponsors a cash prize. If you've never been to one before you'll enjoy the experience. A real fun event!

However, we need you all to get involved in selling the ducks and getting your feet wet on the day. Your senior committee members have busted a gut behind the scenes to give you a great cricket season, and this is your chance to do your bit for your club.

It' not too much to ask is it? We can make a small fortune for club funds if we all get behind this great fund raiser. Come on Chelford we need the money, get behind us!!! Press gangs will be out shortly with forms and details. Quack, Quack!
